What I'm Loving Wednesday

This week I'm loving...

Coffee. Glorious, glorious coffee. But that's actually misleading, because I love coffee every week. But this week in particular since I don't get to "sleep in" anymore. And yes, that's me stirring in my coffee creamer with Emerson's spoon. Because I'm savvy like that.

No Bake Energy Bites. I saw these on Pinterest a while back, and finally gave in and made them. Friggin' delish, and the perfect compliment to breakfast.

Bangin' Good Shrimp by Skinnytaste. I made these for dinner last night and literally licked the plate. It was embarrassing.

And of course, I'm loving my sweet sweet girls. My good friend took these beautiful pictures of them when she came to visit a few weeks ago. I die.

Emerson's favorite dish, "Monkey Cheese" (her name for it, not mine). It is serious business.

I gave her a lemon, because I'm a great mom. She looks like she hates it, but make no mistake she ate the whole darn thing!

This is my playground. You may not enter.

What I'm Loving Wednesday

I'm loving... this eye color palate by Stila. I have hazelish eyes (still don't know exactly how you'd classify them as they're not brown but not green - gold maybe? Is gold an eye color? I really am not sure) Anyway, this color palate works really well with whatever color my eyes are.

I'm loving... St. Ives Apricot Scrub. I used to use this back in high school, and just rediscovered it. Oh my word, my face feels as soft and smooth as Emerson's! I would like to think I'm scrubbing away fine lines and wrinkles too.

I'm loving... sweet potato fries! I had them a few weeks back at Burger Works (delicious establishment, btw) and now I'm obsessed with making them myself. So yummy, and makes me feel like I'm being healthy.

I'm loving... my new hair cut. Even though I almost hyperventilated in the stylist's chair, I am very happy with the results. So quick and easy to do in the morning, and I had the same long boring hair forever so it was fun to have a change.

I'm loving... this new tasty treat by The Cheesecake Factory. No, I am not currently eating sugar, but this little cake is truly a work of art and when it's time to indulge in dessert again, this is the first thing on my list!

I'm loving... the skinny jeans grandma bought for baby girl. If it were possible to die from cuteness, Emerson would kill me every day.

I'm loving... that we spent more to purchase this headband for Emerson to wear as flower girl in Kenny's wedding than we did on her dress itself. I think I have a sickness.

Happy Wednesday!!!

What I'm Loving Wednesday

Link up!
I'm loving...This delicious 2-minute brownie in a mug recipe from Pinterest. Ohhhh myyyy goooodnesss. The fact that I can make a brownie in 2 minutes any time I want to?? NOT GOOD. But also great.

I'm loving... These headbands I found on Etsy for Baby E, all for her big debut as Aunt Lin's flower girl in May! Her dress is white and her shoes are lilac... which one do you like the most?? It's so hard to decide, I might buy them all. Lord help me.

I'm loving... My Fitness Pal. I have it as an app on my phone and also a shortcut on my computer. It's the perfect way to track your calories so that you don't go overboard when you're chowing down - which is so easy to do! It has literally every single food you could possibly think of, which is perfect because I eat some random stuff. (And side note, they even allow you to deduct 500 calories a day for nursing, which I LOVE. It's like I ran 5 miles, but didn't actually. So the aforementioned brownie in a mug I inhaled last night got cancelled out - woot!) I WILL be bikini ready by June. I will I said.

Speaking of, I'm loving... that I can wear clothes I haven't worn in almost a year. Really opens up the wardrobe options, though that won't stop me from shopping. (But Jon, Emerson NEEDS me to buy that dress!!)

I'm loving...  the unseasonably warm weather we had yesterday and today. Emerson LOVES her sunshine, and anything that makes her happy makes me happy. I see many sock puppets and embarrassing moments in my future due to this.

I'm loving... that I just sold one of Jon's old architecture textbooks on half.com for $90. Unexpected money?? Score!

Happy Wednesday!!

What I'm Loving Wednesday

I apologize in advance if WILW ends up being WILW- Baby Edition from now on. I'm a mom, yo. Baby stuff consumes my life :)

I'm loving... Johnson's Lavender Bedtime Bath.

We give Em a bath and use both the lavender bath soap and lotion. Oh Em Gee. It smells like heaven, and it really relaxes her. And for two days afterward, she has that heavenly baby smell. I would buy a lifetime supply of this stuff if I could.
 I'm loving.... Folger's Caramel Drizzle K-Cups.

Now that I'm allowed 1 cup of regular coffee a day, I've been getting reacquainted with my Keurig coffee maker. This is my new favorite flavor. Even just the name is mouthwatering. YUM!

I'm loving... Saline drops + The Nosefrida.

Ok, TMI alert... Babies get boogers. And it's the saddest thing ever when you can hear that they are having trouble breathing but you can't see into that tiny little nose and figure out what's bothering them. A few drops of saline, and the amazing invention known as the Nosefrida, and voila! Clear nose = Happy baby. Honestly, if she's fed, changed, burped, and not tired but still fussy, a stuffy nose is usually the culprit. Stupid winter.

I'm loving... Our stroller.

This thing is a beast! We got the Peg Perego Pliko P3 (say that 3 times fast) and I friggin love it! I now make excuses just to use it. It couldn't be easier to open and dismantle, and Emerson LOVES being pushed around in it (who wouldn't?!?) The car seat clips into it in less than a second, which is perfect for someone like me who can't even assemble Legos properly.

See? She falls asleep immediately. Which for a newborn = I love this mommy, let's keep it up!
What are you loving today?!?

What I'm Loving Wednesday

This Kind of Love
I'm loving....my new breakfast treats! Maple & Brown Sugar oatmeal and Morningstar Farms veggie bacon strips.
Oatmeal made me sick in my first trimester, so I didn't touch it in my second, but now all of a sudden it's delicious again and keeps me fuller. And I recently re-discovered the bacon strips. I ate them all the time when I was a vegetarian, but forgot about them. Till one day I was walking in the frozen foods section and BAM! They called to me. Delicious, with the texture of a Beggin' Strip (like, the one for dogs) but I like 'em.

I'm loving.... the new single "Heartbeat" The Fray. They are one of my favorite bands, and I am probably biased because this was the first show Jon and I saw together, and we danced to one of our songs at our wedding, but I just love their music. I have a soft spot for the piano, so you can pretty much guarantee if a piano is playing in the background, I'm gonna like the song. Just ask Mr. William Joel. Big fan.

I'm loving....That all of my sweaters from Express STILL fit, even at almost 8 months along!

Thank goodness for super long sweaters and tunics that are still in style, they have saved my budget and have kept me from being the frumpy pregnant woman! I hope that by the time belly shirts come back in fashion, my child-bearing days are over. Actually, I just hope they never come back.

I'm loving.... The First Husband by Laura Dave.

It's the required reading for our book club this month, and sometimes, you just need a little chick lit in your life. It's so nice to break away from reading finance documents (at work) and reading parenting and childbirth books and feeling inadequate (at home). I'm only about 1/3 of the way in, but I am really enjoying it so far and just want to know what happens!

I'm loving... my 4 day work week! We have Friday off for Veteran's Day so I am treating myself to that prenatal massage Jon bought us for Sweetest Day, and I'm also getting a haircut. I'll be a brand new woman! Any hair suggestions?? I don't want to chop too much length off but I'm kinda bored with what I've got going on now. These bangs need trimmed for sure, I look like the Hamburgular.
Yes, YOU need a haircut!
What are you loving today??
