So What! Wednesday!

So what if...

~ My skirt is wrinkled today. I'm bringing wrinkles back (yeah!)

~ All I can think about before bed is that I get to wake up in the morning and have coffee

~ I am a defensive driver. My commute is a little longer in the new house, and even on a different side of town, I am still convinced that all drivers out there except me are FRIGGIN IDIOTS.

~ I am certain my neighbors think I'm having an affair with the UPS man. Why else would he be delivering packages to my house every day? (Answer: Because I am addicted to Amazon Prime)

~ I am legitimately worried that if Amazon Prime starts offering 2-day shipping on groceries that I may never leave the house and will become a hermit.

~ I have an irrational fear of deleting emails at work

~ I have an obsession with throwing things away at home. Jon may leave me someday because I threw away some important piece of paper or object one too many times.

~ Robin Thicke is rapidly creeping up to the top of my "list." You know what list I mean.

So What! Wednesday

Today is a great day for So What!ing. In the words of Pink, today I'm saying SO WHAT if....
  • Our house hasn't sold yet. Crap on a cracker.
  • The people who just HAD to get in to see our house at 8:00pm last night only stayed for 10 minutes. I am trying not to be bitter about interrupting Emerson's bedtime for people who are obviously not going to buy the house. Trying being the key word here.
  • I feel fussier than a toddler about this whole home-selling process. I go from up to down in a matter of minutes. Dear future self: NEVER try this again whilst pregnant. Never.
  • I ate my feelings for dinner (aka half a box of spaghetti and 7 Oreos. And french fries.)
  • I accidentally microwaved my breakfast sandwich for 6 minutes, not 60 seconds. I realized it halfway through, but it was inedible. Guess that means I have to get a meatball sub for lunch.
  • I just can't get into the 'Real Housewives' and the gaggle of terrifying teen shows on MTV. Everyone I know watches them, I just can't do it. I watch The Bachelor, isn't that enough torture?
  • I am more than a little skeeved out about having an Open House on Sunday, because I just picture our nosy neighbors coming through and peeking at my underoo drawer. I'm telling you, it'll happen.
  • I'm grumpy today. Can we tell?

So What! Wednesday

I refuse to wear maternity pants. Just not ready. I feel like Renee Zellweger pre and post Bridget Jones. All of my weight gain/loss over the last 3 years due to pregnancy has to be doing a number on my innards. But at least I never looked like a creepy skeletor.

I've eaten spaghetti for dinner almost every night that Jon has been gone. It's cheap, delicious, and easy. And carbs are this baby's friend. Mmmm, now I want some.

I can't stop looking at houses online. Even though it's torture. Even though I know none of those houses will be available by the time we're ready to buy in March. It's an obsession. There's a Realtor.com app too that fuels the fire. It beckons me daily.

Jon and I cannot agree on baby names. Jack and Emerson were our names, and they're both taken. So whether this nugget is a boy or girl, I feel like it will be impossible to pick the perfect name because we've already used them. Ya know? One thing I know for sure is that we will NOT be naming this baby Hashtag. #fileforparentalemancipationnowkid

I order absolutely everything on Amazon these days. I have Amazon Prime, which has free two-day shipping. Which means I don't have to force Emerson to shop with me when it's freezing outside. I ordered trash bags the other day, people. Trash bags.

Emerson will be getting a two-tiered birthday cake, that when all is said and done may cost more than our wedding cake. Judge away.

Speaking of, I am putting more thought and attention to detail into Emerson's first birthday party than my own wedding. But there's no wedding coordinator for baby birthday parties. Actually, I'm sure there is, but Pinterest is guiding my way, sans coordinator fees.

I still want some spaghetti

So What! Wednesday

Well hey there friends!!!

Today I'm saying "So What!" if...

I've had radio silence on this blog lately. I just have nothing interesting to say. Even though most of the time what I write on here isn't all that interesting, I just felt like the internet needed a break from my ramblings.

I'm going to see Magic Mike tomorrow. It will be awesomely bad, but I'm even more excited to hang out with my lady friends who I haven't seen in forevs.

I like shortening all my sentences a la Penny Harts from Happy Endings. Me, Penny, and Emma Stone are all long lost sisters - they just don't know it yet. For realz.

I'm strangely curious about the baby bloom that is sure to come thanks to this steamy summer and it's 50 Shades of Magic Mike

I'm 28 and I want to buy eye cream. I am terrified that 4.5 months of sleep deprivation have wreaked havoc on my face and given me wrinkles.

I have run 3 half marathons, and yet am resorting to the Couch to 5k program. My running has been SLACKING lately and I need to pick it back up. Where is my motivation??? Probably at the bottom of that there M&M bag.

I am OBSESSED with The Bachelorette franchise and just want the finale to be here right now. Does Emily pick cute hipster Jef (with one F, because having two f's is so yesterday) or Arie, the smooth operator who fills awkward silences by attacking Emily's mouth??!?! I need to know.

I have only recently discovered Spotify, and I shudder at the thought of how much music I have been missing out on because of my naivete. Why am I always tardy to the party when it comes to awesome things??? Shame on me.

I'm so happy for Katie Holmes. No woman should have to wear flats if she doesn't want to. Or worship aliens.

In other non-So What news, I just found out that I won Shannon's GroopDealz Target giveaway!!! I never win anything (ok ok, except a book contest in kindergarten and homecoming queen in college. Literally the only two things I've ever "won"). Thank you Shannon and GroopDealz - Momma is going SHOPPING!!!

What are you saying So What! to today?!?

So What! Wednesday

This week I'm saying So What! if...

  • I spent THREE DOLLARS on a croissant at Starbucks yesterday. Why are croissants so expensive?? It's just dough right?? Fancy French dough??? I mean, it was delicious, but still.. a small mocha and that tiny pastry cost me $6.50, which is excessive.
  • I have dreams about $5 foot longs and I can't wait to get one for lunch
  • I may not save the other half of the foot long and instead house the whole thing in one sitting
  • I sing really obscure songs to my daughter. Instead of Twinkle Twinkle, I go for Bruno Mars and Sir Mix A Lot
  • I was in bed and asleep before the sun went down. Yep.
  • I have a bachelorette party on Saturday night, and I am so nervous about a) being up past 10:00 b) having alcohol for fear my liver will scream because it's been a solid 15 months since I've had any and c) being "that girl" who is yawning in the corner and can't hang and be cool like the rest of the gals
  • Speaking of Bachelorettes, I am totes excited for the premiere of "The Bachelorette" on May 14th. Even though I already know who the final 4 guys are... thanks Reality Steve. Hopefully Emily and her adorableness will redeem the franchise. Not likely, but everyone has their guilty pleasure and this is mine.
  • Every single email I send has at least one error. I can't help it. All the coffee in all the land couldn't help me.
Happy Wednesday!!!

So What! Wednesday

Link up with Shannon!

This week, I'm saying So What! if...

~ I didn't shower this morning. It was either abandon my wide-awake baby in her crib while I showered, or play with her while I hid my grunginess with perfume and makeup. I chose b.

~ it's very obvious that I didn't shower today. Side-swept greasy bangs and hair in a bun?? Dead giveaway.

~ I am jealous of moms who have babies that sleep 10+hours in a row. I know it's much more likely to have a baby that doesn't sleep that long, and thankfully, she's really cute and that truly does make up for it.

~ I plan on having 2 GIANT cups of coffee today with my new obsession, Cinnabon coffee creamer. I tracked the calories in each serving I use. Not good. But better than eating an actual Cinnabon roll. Winning!

~ I'm in a wedding in 6 weeks and I'm still 10lbs away from my goal post-baby weight. One can easily lose 10lbs in 6 weeks right??? I hear of that happening all the time. <--- Yeah right

~ if I opened up a lullaby CD someone bought for us and tried it out in my car CD player... and then realized I listened to it the entire way home. It was so soothing!

~ if I want to see Titanic 3D. It was my favorite movie back in the day, and I'm so curious to see if it looks different.

~ if I've been humming the songs on Em's butterfly light projector thingy all morning.

~ if I'm nearly 28 and still bite my nails. I can't stop. I can't.

~ if I'm a little freaked to turn 28 next month. I remember when 28 sounded old and mature and wise. Bahahaha!

So What! Wednesday

This week I'm saying SO WHAT if...

  • I ate an entire $5 foot long from Subway yesterday. Crushed it in under 10 minutes. What?? I'm a nursing mother.
  • I did a waist-whittling workout (say that 5 times fast) from YouTube yesterday and now I can barely move.
  • I lay my clothes from the day before on the spare bed instead of hanging them up. Maybe I'll wear them again this week?? Pants never get dirty after all.
  • I can't wrap my head around the idea of wearing a one-piece bathing suit. I know I've had a baby, but I feel like a two piece is just saying "It's over now." Can we compromise with a tankini??
  • I'm not ready to wear any kind of bathing suit whatsoever so I'll wear the white t-shirt and shorts into the pool 'til I am.
  • I sat through 3 hours of jury selection yesterday and didn't get called and feel like 3 hours of my life were ripped away from me. (Though it was actually pretty interesting).
  • I think Kim Kardashian and her clan are the most vapid people on earth. I get that people like them, but I want them to go to an island and never come back.
  • I check people.com more than cnn.com. Judge away! I like a quick read. (Hence my hatred for KK- what exactly did they do to be so famous??)
  • I spend less than 2 minutes doing my hair every day. I think it's important for your self-esteem to look nice when you leave the house but.... I just don't care. Sleep is better.
What are you saying So What! to today??
